Highlights from the Vice President
for Student Affairs
Dear Parents and Family Members, TCNJ's Commencement ceremonies are a celebration of all that our Class of 2016 has achieved during their time here, whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in their circle of friends. On May 19th and 20th, we will come together as a campus community to send our students onto the next stage of their personal journeys.
Below you will find our Guide to Commencement, which contains important logistical information about the events. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this material to ensure that you and your graduate are ready for the big day. Click anywhere on the image below my signature to access the guide.
Finally, thank you for your support of our students over the past four years. It is because of your love and guidance that they have been able to achieve so much. I am eager to see where their ambitions take them in the future.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Amy Hecht
Vice President for Student Affairs

Main and Departmental Ceremonies
The main ceremony in Lions Stadium will be held on Thursday, May 19, with the academic processional beginning at 3 pm. Click here for details.
Departmental ceremonies are held over the course of Thursday, May 19th and Friday, May 20th. Be sure to check our schedule for the time and location of your graduate's event. Click here for details.
Severe Weather Scenario
In the event of potentially dangerous weather, Thursday's main ceremony will be moved indoors to the Recreation Center. Graduates will participate in one of two main ceremonies, depending on their school. Seating is limited to two guests per graduate, and guests will require a ticket for entry. Tickets for the Severe Weather Scenario were picked up by graduates during the Graduation Fair at the TCNJ Bookstore. Tickets are not replaceable. Guests without a ticket will be directed to a live simulcast of the ceremony in various indoor locations on campus. Departmental/school ceremonies will not be impacted by the weather and will occur as scheduled. Click here for more details on this potential scenario.
